Making my glorious comeback into the blogosphere (again).

-- It's sad that I neglect you, months at a time my dear blog. Rest assured I will nurture and care for you like a best friend, a morsel of delectable French dessert, a DVD boxset. I mean this, with every fibre of my vast being - you, blog, now occupy a space in my heart. --

So life as a writer/media practitioner/professional bludger kind of blows at the moment. I tend to a few odd voluntary jobs here and there (mainly just camera-operating and filler-stiller gigs) to stay active but really, my artistic mind has come to a stand-still. My genius is yet to be realised and so far, I have thought up several story ideas that will be expanded soon.

More importantly, my ability to be funny in literary-form is slowly developing into promising practice. I'm not one to self-compliment (that's actually not true) but I have written a few short excerpts on life that can be deemed as 'amusing'. Of course the medium of which I choose to demonstrate my comedic strokes right now exists within the status bar of my Facebook (which I know to some, may find tacky and possibly sad) but I take any action where writing takes place as an opportunity to being creative. Here are some examples that I'm quite proud of;

"Peter Lam watched the Chris Brown interview on Larry King. Couldn't really hear him over his bow-tie."

"Peter Lam is on my mind."

"Peter Lam thinks the third-wheel role does not disappoint."

"Peter Lam believes the auto-tune effect will work wonders for death-metal."

"Peter Lam thinks the Dewey Cox soundtrack makes you want to strip - In a PG-way."

"Peter Lam will turn last night's junk food binge into a promising children's book series. The title - 'You are what you eat - Smiths, Cadbury's and slow death'."

Not laughing-out-loud? Don't fret - I will deliver the goods in portions. I'm no overnight sensation, but once I dive into the mix, watch out. Nobody is safe. My comedy will kill.
