Well, exchanging my Australian money at the bank for US dollars today was a heartbreaking task. The epic downfall of our global economy has left a gaping wound in my finances and livelihood. I am aware that the credit crunch has caused much more devastation for the world at large but at this particular moment, the only world that needs to be catered for is my own. My grueling hours at work for the past year were just converted into minuscule green bills with dead politician's faces on them.
I suppose that it's nothing new, being poor and everything and I've learnt to make fun out of every dim situation in my life, only this time I do it in another country.
